Ministry of Transport Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg<\/a>\u00a0is testing the \u201cIntelligent Roadworks Warning Light\u201d, a new technology for precise positioning of roadworks. As part of the pilot project, 20 roadworks warning lights will be procured, transmitting their location data to a central system in real-time and with a high degree of accuracy. Within the project, AlbrechtConsult is preparing the test concept, defining the scope of services for the system supplier and providing technical support for the trials.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The trials will examine the technical functionality under various conditions as well as different use cases before wider deployment becomes possible. The long-term objective is to make the positioning data of all roadworks on federal and state roads centrally available and accessible with a high degree of accuracy.<\/p>\n
Alongside the technical aspects, integration into the operational processes of road maintenance depots and regional authorities is a key success factor.
