AlbrechtConsult supports the test concept and technical trials in Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg<\/h3>\n

On 29 July, our colleagues Matti Strohschein, Natalie Strohschein and Christian Ress were in Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg to test the Intelligent Roadworks Warning Light as part of the pilot project, together with staff from the Magstadt and Eningen road maintenance depots, the Ostalbkreis district office, the tech start-up CM1<\/a> and the Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg Ministry of Transport<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The trials first took place on the premises of the Magstadt road maintenance depot. The application was then examined at a real roadworks site with a road closure nearby. The focus was on how the technology performs under practical conditions \u2013 from precise positioning to handling in a real roadworks environment.<\/p>\n

The tests provide important on-site insights for the further technical support of the project. Project Manager Matti Strohschein commented: \u201cThe test day clearly showed what matters for the Intelligent Roadworks Warning Light: the technology must not only provide precise positioning data, but also be integrated simply and reliably into the processes of the road maintenance depots in a real working environment. In addition, linking the IBL data with the state\u2019s roadworks and event management system (BEMaS) is important in order to achieve genuine long-term relief for road maintenance operations and to exploit the full potential of the technology.<\/p>\n

The move from testing on the premises of the Magstadt road maintenance depot to a real roadworks site nearby was therefore particularly valuable.
