Final event of the Hessen/Kassel pilot
The results of the Hessen-Kassel pilot were presented at the C-Roads Germany Urban Nodes roadshow at the beginning of October 2024. Interested visitors were able to learn more about the practical use of V2X in informative presentations.
The highlight was the driving demonstrations in the city of Kassel, both with public transport buses and on the Schwanenwiese exhibition grounds, where Die Autobahn GmbH des Bundes (German federal motorway operator), supported by AlbrechtConsult and consider it GmbH, demonstrated the prioritisation of emergency vehicles at traffic lights, the use cases ‘Emergency vehicle in intervention’ and ‘Emergency vehicle approaching’ (to form a rescue lane). At the same time, the analysis of the valuable data transmitted anonymously by V2X-equipped vehicles could be experienced live in the PVD use case.
