AlbrechtConsult moderates expert panel at the International Dangerous Goods Days Hamburg
The digital transformation of freight transport continues to gain momentum. At the International Dangerous Goods Days Hamburg, Christian Lüpges, Senior Consultant at AlbrechtConsult, moderated a panel discussion on “eFTI in the context of dangerous goods transport.”
From July 2027 onwards, authorities across the European Union will be required to accept electronic freight transport information in accordance with the eFTI Regulation (EU) 2020/1056. While the use of eFTI solutions remains voluntary for companies, it offers significant potential for more efficient processes, improved data quality and enhanced cooperation with inspection authorities.
The discussion focused in particular on the implications for the dangerous goods sector, the interaction with existing regulatory frameworks such as ADR, RID and ADN, and the technical implementation and certification of eFTI platforms.
AlbrechtConsult has been closely following the regulatory and practical developments surrounding eFTI from the outset and supports both public and private stakeholders in strategically assessing and implementing the requirements.
