Expert in connected and automated driving strengthens the C-ITS team
We are pleased to announce that Christian Ress has joined the Albrecht Consult team. In Christian, we are gaining a recognised expert in connected and automated driving, bringing more than three decades of professional experience in international companies across aviation, IT/software, the automotive industry and mechanical engineering.
His academic foundation is a degree in electrical engineering, specialising in communications engineering, from RWTH Aachen University. The core of his career was shaped by more than 20 years at the Ford Research and Innovation Centre in Aachen – initially as Technical Specialist for Connectivity and V2X Communication, and later as Supervisor Automated Driving Europe with personnel responsibility. In this role, he contributed to the introduction of V2X at Ford Europe and helped shape the development of connected and automated driving at global level – in Europe, the USA, China and Israel.
Christian has been involved in some of the most significant C-ITS projects of the past two decades, including simTD, DriveC2X, UK Autodrive, KoMoD and ACCorD. He has also actively helped shape industry standardisation – through the Car2Car Communication Consortium, the VDA, the 5GAA and as former Chairman of the ADASIS Forum.
With more than 20 years of project management experience, in-depth technical expertise and a strong network of OEMs, suppliers, research institutions and public-sector stakeholders, Christian Ress will provide targeted support to our clients in complex C-ITS projects.
